The Village of Corrales sits on the west bank of the Rio Grande, between Albuquerque's Westside and Rio Rancho. It incorporated in 1971 and had 8,493 residents in the 2020 census. The Bosque and the Acequias

The village protects the Corrales Bosque Preserve along the river, which has been preserved since 1978.
